Hackathon for Future Female Engineers: SHEHACK

As part of our hiring promotion, we conducted multiple events, including Shehack. This event primarily focuses on spreading awareness among female engineers about the opportunities provided by Gojek. The event design has to cater to this specific target group and convey a festive mood to the audiences.

Approach:

We collaborated with the event organizing and marketing teams to carefully craft the content and design, including the name and logo. We also created different merchandise, promo posts, as well as an event video to communicate more about Shehack, ensuring it would be a memorable experience for the participants.

My Role :

  • Planing and organising :

After the marketing team came up with the initiatives, I worked closely with the team to plan and organize the event. Planning how the overall event experience should be designed from a brand point of view to conducting a talk show and creating content for social media.

  • Creative Direction :

Once we understood the details of the event and the target audience, I worked closely with the design team and came up with multiple design directions for the event. There needed to be a common visual language spread across all the merchandise and the communication about Shehack, and creating a scalable system was the solution

  • Managing stakeholders :

As it was a close collaboration between the marketing and design teams, there needed to be mutual understanding in the design process—creating a concept and developing it into multiple designs while keeping all stakeholders in agreement. Since the event and the communication were preplanned, following the deadline was crucial. We created a process for managing tasks and scheduling the delivery of each item.

Solution:

Unlike any other event Gojek conducts, Shehack became very memorable because of the design style and consistency we followed. As we received a lot of new female applicants immediately after the launch of the event, this could be a success indicator.
