Ensuring Consistency: Freecharge Brand Guidelines

As Freecharge is recognized for its commitment to design consistency across all touchpoints, establishing a unified visual language became crucial for building a strong brand recall. We meticulously examined the existing design, validated the success of each experiment based on its impact, and synthesized these findings into a comprehensive brand guideline.

Approach:

The design approach revolves around learning from various experiments conducted with multiple design versions. By analyzing these directions, we identified the right scalable, memorable, and brand-relatable design approach. We extended this framework to most existing use cases and continued expanding it to meet new requirements.

My Role :

  • Iterating on the design direction:

Drawing from the insights gained from various designs created for the brand in the past, we easily narrowed down our focus by analyzing their impact. While we gathered new ideas and tested them across multiple use cases, our final choice was based on how well it functioned in the market.

  • Expanding the design language:

After finalizing the visual style, we extended the core design principles to all other touchpoints, testing and validating each one. For additional use cases, we incorporated an extended family of graphic elements that further reinforced the core idea of the brand.

  • Creating the brand guideline:

We created an extensive brand guideline to ensure consistency in all future designs. This not only simplified decision-making for stakeholders but also streamlined the overall design process.

Solution:

The implementation of the Freecharge brand guideline resulted in a unified and consistent design language across all touchpoints, fostering a strong brand identity. Stakeholders found decision-making simplified, and the overall design process became more streamlined, contributing to a cohesive and memorable brand experience.

Establishing a cohesive and consistent design language, the Freecharge brand guideline streamlined decision-making and enhanced the overall brand experience across various touchpoints.
